Sociological Audit of Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs Programmes
In 2021–2022, the Centre for Institutional Research held a research audit for the HSE Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs. The goal was to understand how the participants of the educational process—students and their parents, alumni, academic staff, and employers—perceive the faculty and its programmes.
We analysed data from annual CIR surveys and conducted 50 interviews with representatives of various groups. During the research, we collected information and analysed the strengths and weaknesses of faculty programmes, defined expectations regarding education, assessed satisfaction with the quality of education received, took suggestions for improving the learning process, and evaluated graduates’ professional skills and competences.
The results were used as a basis for identifying areas for growth and ways to enhance the competitiveness and appeal of the educational programmes for prospective students.
